GREEN OAK FRAMING
TRADITIONAL BUILDING TECHNIQUES
For more than a decade Ben has specialised in Traditional Building and Green Oak Frames. Building a team of talented Craftsmen and Heritage Builders imparting and sharing knowledge, experience and skills.
We recognise one person cannot specialise in everything, therefore our team encompasses like minded individuals who each have their own area of expertise, from trusted Structural Engineers, Surveyors, Architects, Electricians and Plumbers, through to Plasterers, Decorators and Interior Designers.
Training is always encouraged within the team from additional skills to the essential Health & Safety. Our Heritage Gold cards an acknowledgement of our time served skills.
“We all share in one passion to achieve the best,
whilst being respectful of heritage and mindful of the materials we work with.”
Ben has a true passion for our Heritage buildings and Green Oak structures, whether it is creating a new building, extending a loved home or the renovation a forgotten barn the attention to detail is the same on every project. His time served skills and amount of knowledge are enviable, no matter what a project may throw up - there is always a solution.
James joined us in 2016 having worked for himself for many years. We quickly recognised James' broad skill base is invaluable. He is a real Craftman with a passion for perfection and true Yorkshire grit.
Peter has several years in the construction industry starting out as a self employed estate manager/landscape architect after agricultural college, recognising that carpentry was his passion (wishing to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather who was a master carpenter) Peter returned to college and joins us in 2019 fresh from the Heritage Craft Alliance, eager to hone in on his newfound skills.
Richard & Mike Pollitt
Run their own heritage building projects from Northallerton and assist our team on larger projects. The arrangement works well for both parties as Richard and Mike learn from our more senior craftsmen whilst bringing their own skills to each project.
