November 2018 - January 2019
A wonderful opportunity to repair and restore this listed property in Pontefract town centre. Working with original timber beams dating back to 1585.
The free-standing ringers gallery structure in oak is set independently to the walls thereby minimising fixings and contact between the two. The frame and floor consisted entirely of English Green Oak with traditional pegged joints. An oak trapdoor was incorporated into the floor of the ringers gallery to allow future access to the bells. Project in conjunction with
Re-roofed, cunningly insulated and water tight. Whilst we re-used many of the original materials we replaced the incorrect concrete ridges for historically correct stone ridges, and the few reclaimed pantiles blended in perfectly.
Replacement of a tired PVC entrance vestibule on this Harrogate apartment. Part of a Listed property this called for some design flair and appreciation for the building as a whole.

Our Clients liked our previous work so much they had a further two extensions! Having lived in the property for forty years, some additions allowing for ground floor living enabled them to stay in the home they love.

April 2018 - July 2018
A unique extension to a period Semi Detached House in York. Creating modern, open plan, living space. Using Western Red Cedar Cadding, Living Cedum Roof, Oversized Skylights and Aluminium bi-folding doors ~ letting the outside in.
In one of Yorkshire's beautiful estates, we constructed a traditional roundhouse with a combination of sleepers, Yorkshire grown softwood, with English grown cedar roof tiles and Yorkshire Hazel Hurdles.
In one of Yorkshire's beautiful conservation areas. With a tight access and limited space this project has faced us with a few unique challenges.
But is now taking shape nicely

An exciting and totally different Green Oak Project working closely with Chrysalis Arts Our in house CAD team drew up the Artistist's designs ensuring the construction and safety of the Art for public domain.
A really enjoyable project, designed in house with Client's valuable input. A Softwood Garage with UK grown Western Red Cedar cladding and shingled roof.

This particular project resulted in us being nominated for an LABC Buildings Excellence award 2017!
From initial concept to finished home. Complete renovation of Georgian coachhouse, from a garage and store room to 150m squared of accommodation.
